Terms of Use
Effective date: August 31, 2026. Document version: 2026-08-31.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of sitta.pro, including the EPUB reader, upload workflow, translation tools, word alignment, text-to-speech features, local caching, accounts, and related cloud processing. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
sitta.pro is a web application for reading EPUB books in their original language, generating AI-assisted translations, aligning source and translated words, and generating text-to-speech metadata. The service may use browser storage, cloud storage, databases, message queues, WebSocket updates, and AI models to provide these features.
2. Eligibility and Consent
You may use the service only if you can lawfully enter into these terms and are allowed to upload and process the content you provide. If you use the service on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
3. User Content and Copyright
You retain your rights in EPUB files and other content you upload. You grant the service a limited right to host, parse, cache, transform, translate, align, analyze, and transmit that content only as needed to provide and maintain the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you own the uploaded content or have permission to process it. Do not upload copyrighted, unlawful, confidential, abusive, harmful, or otherwise unauthorized material.
4. AI-Generated Output
Translations, alignments, pronunciation data, language detection, and speech-related output may be generated automatically. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unsuitable for a specific context.
You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it. Do not treat the service as a source of legal, medical, financial, academic, or other professional advice.
5. Accounts, Quotas, and Authentication
Some features may require sign-in with Yandex ID or another supported authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs through your session.
The service may apply quotas, rate limits, temporary blocks, or other safeguards to protect infrastructure, control costs, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not bypass authentication, quotas, rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
- Do not attack, overload, scrape, resell, mirror, or repurpose the service without permission.
- Do not upload malware or content intended to compromise browsers, cloud systems, or other users.
- Do not use the service to violate law, infringe rights, or distribute prohibited content.
7. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy. If uploaded books contain personal data or sensitive information, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that information through the service.
8. Availability and Changes
The service is provided as a developing product and may change, pause, degrade, or stop at any time. Features may be added, removed, limited, or moved between browser and cloud processing as the product evolves.
9. Fees
The service may offer free, experimental, quota-limited, paid, or invite-only features. Any paid terms, if introduced, will be shown separately before purchase or continued use of paid functionality.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service and generated output are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, inaccurate output, service interruption, unauthorized content, or third-party materials.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe that use of the service violates these terms, creates legal risk, threatens security, abuses infrastructure, or harms other users or providers.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new document version and, where appropriate, a renewed in-app consent prompt. Continued use after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, unless mandatory law requires another rule. Disputes should first be addressed by contacting the operator at sitta.pro@yandex.com and attempting a good-faith resolution.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms of Use or to report misuse, contact the service owner or operator at sitta.pro@yandex.com.
