License Agreement

This License Agreement explains the rights granted for using the sitta.pro application and service. It works together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Service License

Subject to your compliance with this agreement and the Terms of Use, the operator grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the public sitta.pro service for lawful reading, study, translation, and text-to-speech workflows.

2. Source Code and Components

If source code for this project is published with license metadata or a separate license file, that license applies to the published code as stated there. Current package metadata identifies the project license as ISC unless a specific file or component states otherwise.

Third-party libraries, fonts, APIs, cloud services, and bundled assets remain governed by their own licenses and terms. This agreement does not replace or expand any third-party license.

3. User Content License

You retain rights in EPUB files and other content you provide. You grant the service a limited operational license to store, parse, cache, translate, align, analyze, transmit, and generate speech-related output from that content as needed to provide and maintain the service.

4. Generated Output

The service may generate translations, alignments, pronunciation metadata, and text-to-speech markup. Subject to rights in the original content and applicable law, you may use generated output for personal reading, study, and reference. You are responsible for verifying output and for ensuring that your use does not infringe third-party rights.

5. Restrictions

• Do not copy, resell, sublicense, host, or commercialize the hosted service without permission.
• Do not remove legal notices, attribution, required links, or security controls.
• Do not reverse-engineer protected service infrastructure, bypass access controls, or interfere with service operation.
• Do not use the service or generated output in a way that violates law, infringes rights, or breaches third-party terms.

6. Open-Source Notices

The application may include open-source packages such as EPUB parsing, ZIP handling, testing, browser, and UI dependencies. Their license notices and obligations continue to apply. When required, you must preserve copyright notices and license text for those components.

7. No Warranties

The service, software, and generated output are provided "as is" and "as available." The operator disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Termination

This license ends automatically if you violate this agreement or the Terms of Use. The operator may also suspend or terminate access where necessary for security, compliance, abuse prevention, or service reliability.

9. Updates

The application and this agreement may be updated over time. Updates may change features, APIs, data handling, license terms for future use, or service availability. Material legal updates may require renewed consent in the app.
